The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Team Lead who’s not just a tax expert—but a builder. You’ll work directly with leadership to shape the structure, strategy, and success of our remote tax team. What You’ll Do

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of remote tax professionals

• Oversee tax preparation and review for individual and small business clients

• Develop and implement scalable workflows and procedures

• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws and deadlines

• Serve as a senior advisor on complex tax matters and high-value clients

• Collaborate with other departments to align tax strategy with client wealth goals

• Provide training and support to ensure ongoing professional development of team members

• Help drive recruitment and onboarding of new tax team members

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading and growing a tax team (CPA firm experience a plus, but not required)

• 5+ years of tax preparation/advisory experience

• Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and individual/business taxation

• Experience with tax software (Drake, ProConnect, or similar)

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Passion for remote work and modern business practices

• Ability to think strategically and solve problems proactively

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA or EA is a plus
